IT is no longer news that during the Nigeria-Zambia World Cup Qualifying match played on Saturday, October 5 at the Nest of Champions, Uyo; Chipolopolo player, Augustine Mulenga lost his daughter while in action for his country. He scored but his goal was disallowed by the referee.
What is news is that Wednesday; emotions took the better part of Mulenga as he wept profusely at the daughter’s burial.
The Zambian striker couldn’t hold back emotions at the burial attended by many people. Family and friends had to console him as many people watched following the shocking loss of the player’s daughter.
Saturday, reports monitored via Zambian Accurates had said that the Zambian officials knew the winger had lost a daughter but could not tell him because he offered hope in helping his country qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup. And as Mulenga pressed on, on the pitch, his daughter was grasping the last breath.
