RIVERS State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has expressed confidence that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will regain all its losses in the 2015 General Elections.
Dr. Banigo stated this while reflecting on the successful elective convention of the PDP at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, shortly on her arrival from Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Head of Press Unit,Deputy Governor’s Office, Port Harcourt, Mr. Owupele Benebo, the Deputy Governorsaid the Peoples Democratic Party is now in a stronger position to provide the credible opposition towards a stable, progressive and mature democracy.
“The party will work to regain all its losses including the seat of power in Aso Rock” she stressed.
According to her “the mere excitement that was evident throughout the country last week at the approach of the elective convention of the PDP, shows how much Nigerians are anxious to see PDP return to the seat of power, to provide good governance which our citizens are yearning for”.
She said the APC-led-Federal Government has reneged in its campaign promises to Nigerians, noting that the value of the naira has cascaded downwards tremendously.
Dr. Banigo said workers are being laid off from work in droves and youth unemployment is painfully on the increase, while Nigerians can hardly wait to vote out the APC-led-Federal Government.
The Deputy Governor who congratulated the new National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and all members of the National Working Committee sworn in this morning, prayed for God’s guidance, protection and a very successful tenure.
