Masari Releases Funds to settle stranded Katsina Students in Sudan and Jordan


– Says previous administration failed to settle their tuition and accommodation

GOVERNOR Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has released funds to settle outstanding bills on tuition and accommodation for students of Katsina extraction who were stranded in their various higher institutions in Sudan and Jordan.

In a statement dated 2nd Dec 2017 and signed by the DG, Katsina Media and Publicity, Alhaji Ibrahim Muazaam Abdullahi, the governor said the previous administration failed to settle their tuition and accommodation fees.

Masari Releases Funds to Settle stranded Katsina Students in Sudan and Jordan after previous Administration failed to settle their TUITION and Accommodation 

Indeed the students were sponsored by the Shema previous administration but failed to pay for their nine (9) months preparatory course. Due to his concern on education, His Excellency Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari (the People’s Governor) released funds to address the issue.

The money released was meant to take care of 7 and 15 number spill over students from Jordan University of Science and Technology and Ahfad University, Khartoum Sudan respectively.

Tuition fees and Upkeep Allowances were paid.

In addition to accommodation fees paid, a house was rented in Omdurman, Khartoum for the female students’ accommodation up to the end of their programme, April 2018.

While some student refuse to leave their old accommodation to the new one led to the incident and What transpired between the landlord and tenants is being handled by Nigerian Embassy in Sudan.
