… Clears Air on Board Appointment.

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress and frontline politician from Bauchi State Hon. Umar Gital has praised the New Year message of President Mohammadu Buhari as being sensitive to the infrastructural yearnings of Nigerians. He stated that no administration has tackled the infrastructural deficit frontally like this administration. He added that “Once again our President has shown that he is a great leader by addressing the challenges of road and rail projects across the country irrespective of political affiliations. Equally, his charge to Nigerians to stop ethno-religous politics is worthy of commendation and essential to promote peace and unity in the country”.
Hon Gital also cleared the air surrounding the recent list of board / parastatals appointments by the president which has sparked mixed reactions from a cross section of the public.
Speaking to our correspondent, the Bauchi born politician stated that there was nothing wrong with the list containing supposed dead person since the compilation was done before their demise.
Moreover, he said the appointments reflected federal character which is in line with the change mantra which the present government stands for.
He reiterated that those who are dead would be replaced with other names from their various zones, thus maintaining their slots.
According to Hon. Gital Nigerians should be grateful to the president for not short changing or interfering with the selection committee headed by Vice President Osibanjo, unlike previous administrations.
He called on Nigerians to continue to support the Buhari administration so as to enjoy more dividends of democracy as 2018 promises to be a great year for Nigeria.
